She unbraided the braid that Kia had placed her hair in earlier and redid it into two. Once she felt like she looked better, she walked back into the room. Demoto was lying on the pull out couch with Ayo resting on his chest. His eyes were closed, so she assumed he was sleeping, but she never could tell with him. He might look sleep, but his ass would be wide awake. He’d jumped up and scared her so many times before it was ridiculous.

She fixed the covers on her bed and climbed in. She had only been lying back on her pillow for a few seconds before she dosed off. The only reason she knew she was asleep was because when Demoto got onto the bed with her, he woke her up. Ayo was in his little crib and it was pulled close to the side of her bed. She shifted over some so Demoto could fit in next to her comfortably. Once he was lying back comfortably, Taryn snuggled closer to him and lay her head on his chest.

“You did good today, baby girl.”

  “Thanks to you.”

He kissed her forehead. “Nah, baby, that was all you.”

Demoto closed his eyes and was asleep within seconds. Taryn looked from him to Ayo. This was truly the best feeling she’d ever felt.

  Chapter Two

Taryn stood in front of Ayo’s dark blue dresser staring at the picture of her, Demoto, and Ayo in front of St. Francis Hospital. Looking at the picture had made her reminisce on the day Ayo was born. They were on their way home from the hospital and they both looked so young and carefree. Demoto was standing behind the wheelchair she was sitting in and the smiles both of them wore matched the one that adorned her face right now. She thought she was happy then, but that had nothing on the way she felt now.

That picture had been taken nearly three years ago, and it didn’t even feel like it. Ayo had grown so much from that picture to now. Taryn grabbed the other picture that he’d just taken at daycare and her face lit up. He was the cutest little boy in the world. Of course, he was tall for his age, making him look like he was four and not two. They hadn’t cut his hair since he’d been born, and his little dread locks were just about at his shoulder. Ayo was the spitting image of Taryn, minus his father’s green eyes, blonde hair, and smile.

He had the shape of her eyes, her nose, her mouth, and her dark skin. There was no point in trying to see whose height he had because she and Demoto were both tall. She was 6’0” and Demoto was 6’7”. There was no way in the world Ayo would ever see a short day. Taryn’s heart smiled as she marveled at the way Ayo was a smaller version of Demoto. Everything about her son resembled his father. He may have looked like her, but his mannerisms were Demoto Youngblood’s to the tee. The way he walked, talked, even the way he held his face sometimes.

It was so amazing to her how he’d inherited so much stuff from Demoto. From the faces he made to how protective he was over her. It was just like Demoto. Even at two years old, he didn’t play about her. It didn’t matter what was going on, or what they were doing, Ayo was watching her. He followed her around, held her hand, and talked her to death, but it was the same way with her. She would kill any and everybody about her baby. Between her and Demoto, poor little Ayo couldn’t breathe. They stayed on him.

As bad as Demoto was with him, she was worse. She was so protective she’d just allowed him to go to daycare this month. Mr. Buck and Kia had been trying to persuade her for the longest and she’d finally given in. Mr. Buck said he needed social interaction with kids his age, and that was the only reason she’d agreed. Mr. Buck, who she’d claimed as her own father, was the best granddaddy Ayo could ever ask for. He was spoiled rotten.

It was so bad that occasionally she had to stop him, Jacko, and Kia from buying Ayo things. He was spoiled by them too. Overall, Ayo was so loved, and she was lucky to have that kind of support from her family. The love and help she and Demoto received with Ayo was so reassuring that she wasn’t even nervous about giving birth to their newest bundle of joy. She’d found out yesterday morning that she was 16 weeks pregnant with their second child. She wasn’t surprised that she wasn’t showing yet. She had carried just as small with Ayo. Her stomach wasn’t noticeable until she was well past five months. Even then it was fairly small. The only thing that got out of control was her hips and ass. As if she needed that.

After taking two tests, she made an appointment and had it verified. Demoto was about to be over the moon happy. He’d been wanting another baby for a while now. He loved children so much he didn’t care whether it was going to be a boy or a girl, he just wanted more. Their lifestyle had become pretty routine, so she was actually ready for one as well.

With Demoto being a hired assassin and she approaching graduation from college, things were good. She even had a job lined up at the women’s shelter she used to stay at.

“What you in here smiling about?” Demoto walked into Ayo’s room with her.

She turned to look at him. “Just wondering how Ayo came out so much like you.”

“What you mean so much like me? That’s my boy. Who else is he supposed to look like?”

Taryn elbowed him in the stomach. “Don’t try to be funny because you know what I meant.”

Demoto laughed. “I’m just fucking with you.”

“That’s all you ever do. What you doing home? I thought you were going to the mall.”

Demoto walked over to the chair in Ayo’s room and sat down. “I am, I just stopped through here for a minute to see did you want to roll with me.”

“Yeah, I can. You about to leave now?”

  “Yep.”

“All right. Well let me go throw something on real quick.” Taryn walked past Demoto and out of the room.

Their room was just down the hall so it didn’t take her long to get there. She opened her closet door and searched for a pair of pants. Being that it was still so early in the daytime, she was still dressed comfortably in a pair of cotton leggings and a spaghetti strapped tank top. Her hair was balled into a large bun at the top of her head and her face was freshly washed. All she’d done so far was got Ayo ready for daycare so that Demoto could drop him off.

She had her bottom lip tucked between her teeth when she felt Demoto’s presence in their room. When she looked over her shoulder she was almost shocked that he was right behind her. His chest was pressed against her back while one hand was on the wall near the closet door and the other was slowly finding its way up the front of her thigh. Taryn felt goose bumps all over her body when his lips connected with the side of her neck.

“You think you slick. You wasn’t thinking about me going to no mall with you.”

“Um huh. I just wanted to get me some of this first.” Demoto’s hand was nestled snugly between her thighs as he cupped her tingly center. Demoto’s hand released her and came up to grab the front of her throat. With a little force, he pulled her head back until it was resting against his chest. “You know I can’t get enough of you, sexy chocolate.”

Taryn giggled shyly as he continued kissing and biting all over her. “Don’t rush, baby,” she whispered to him. “Take your time and give me something good… okay?”

Demoto’s hair fell into his face and over her shoulder as he let her neck go and grabbed both of her breasts in his hands. He massaged them roughly, stopping to rub her nipples through the thin top. Taryn’s body awakened at the touch of her man’s hands. He was the only man that she had ever allowed in her space that way, and for as long as she lived, he was the only one she wanted to. The thickness of his moist tongue gliding over her shoulder had her shying away from his touch.

Still facing the inside of the closet, Taryn reached forward and held onto the bar that was holding up all of her clothing. Demoto’s hands were all over her body, touching and rubbing in certain places. From the urgency in his movements, she already knew it wouldn’t be long before he was ripping her clothing off. It never failed with him. One minute he would be gentle, and the very next, he would be ravaging her like an animal.

The growl that he released assured her that it was coming. It was like he morphed int
o an entirely different person when it was time to have sex. It turned Taryn on to no end. It was exciting and exhilarating to know that her body had the ability to make a man as powerful as the one behind her ache with need. A need that was more of a hunger than anything. Demoto was a force, and it was as if he couldn’t control it when he was near her.

“Baby girl,” a breathless and ragged imploration left his lips. “Come on.”

Taryn turned around and felt so close to combustion that she could have set the whole room on fire. Standing tall, with long blonde locs hanging around his shoulders, eyes a low blazing fire mirroring the flames burning inside of him for her, lean muscular body filled with tattoos, with hands that refused to leave her body, was Demoto. Demoto Youngblood, the vigorous and dominant assassin who represented so much more than an ordinary killer. The outgoing and compassionate family man who made her fall in love over and over every day.

  “You feel like loving me?”

Taryn-Lee, scripted and bold painted across the front of his neck in red caught her attention as he spoke. The Adam’s apple that was used for more than the background for the letter N, had her body feeling something that had her hands attacking his bare chest. Circling his waist, she kissed the center of his chest where the most important organ in his body beat for her. This man. His love. Two things she would never give up.

“Touch me, Tee.” Demoto’s voice let her know that he was barely making it.

Taryn dropped to her knees in front of him and began unbuckling the dark blue jeans he was wearing. Not bothering to waste any more time, Taryn pulled his boxers down with them. He was in the middle of stepping out of his pants when his large member stretched out in front of her nearly poking her in the eye. A small giggle left her mouth at the thought of going blind on account of the weight and size of it. Surely, if it hit her in the eye, she would lose sight instantly.

Taryn’s head titled back a tad when Demoto pulled at her bun, freeing her hair. It fell down around her shoulders like the mane of a foreign princess. One that held the key to the heart of the noblest King in the area. He leaned down quickly and pecked her lips before standing back up with a large amount of her hair still in his hand.

“Don’t be down there playing with it. Take that shit.”

The center of Taryn’s leggings was instantly soaked. The demanding tone he used was one that she was all too familiar with. Not one other thought crossed her mind as she took him as far into her mouth as she could.

“Ahhh…” He moaned and leaned against the wall, holding himself up with one hand. “Sssss.”

Taryn looked up at him from the floor and watched the faces he was making. His head was thrown back and his eyes were squeezed shut. Mouth open as he pumped his hips slightly, careful to match the speed that she was going. Taryn gave him her best as always, which he in return rewarded her with an early dismissal from the floor.

Demoto grabbed her hand and pulled her back to her feet. He walked her to the bed and freed them both of the rest of their clothing. On her back with her hair all over the pillows, Taryn waited impatiently for him to enter her. He hovered over her, kissing her stomach and thighs. As good as it felt when his tongue was on her, she wanted to feel more than that at the moment. All she needed was the stiff piece of manly greatness to pleasure her body from the inside out.

  “Demoto, I want it now.”

He looked up at her from between her thighs. “You want it now, baby?”

  Taryn nodded.

“You want to know what I want now?” Demoto made his way up her body, still kissing it along the way. “and forever?”

  “Tell me, bae.”

  “Votre coeur.” (Your heart)

Taryn’s eyes misted because she already knew what he’d just told her. It was the same thing he’d been telling her since they’d been together. It was nothing for him to come out of the blue with that exact line. She responded the same way every time. He always made sure there was so much meaning behind it. She wrapped her arms and legs around him and pulled him close to her body. She could feel his hand moving between them. Moments later, the feeling she’d been waiting for took over her entire world.

The long, thick, girth that her man made sure to give her on the regular had her scooting backward on the bed. As long as she’d been getting it, it still took some getting used to upon contact. Once he was situated between her legs, Demoto began to move. Delivering deep rough strokes. He moved slow and hard. That was the way Taryn liked it. She wanted him to be gentle, but she needed to feel it. Her eyes had been closed initially, in an act to help ease some of her discomfort. But now that she was comfortable, she opened them back up.

Her eyes locked with his. He was already looking at her. His green irises sparkling with lust and passion. He watched her as he moved in and out of her body. Arms bulging every so often as they were used to hold him up. Taryn’s mind began to get fuzzy as their bodies attached to one another’s continuously. The noises from their love making were the only sounds she could hear.

The constant grunting from Demoto paired with the moans she let out in his ear could be heard all around their room.

  “Squeeze it, Tee.”

Taryn smiled at him as he smiled back. Using her lower muscles, Taryn squeezed Demoto’s dick as he pushed inside of her. She watched as his eyes rolled into the back of his head and his top lip began to twitch. Taryn reached up and pushed his hair from his face as he worked her body over.

“I want to stroke you so hard, but so fuckin gentle.” He bit his bottom lip. “At the same time.”

“Do it, bae. Just do it.”

Taryn coached him into making love to her the way he wanted to. It didn’t take long before she was damn near screaming to the top of her lungs as he beat her pussy up. It felt so good, she couldn’t even say anything. She barely had enough energy to even moan. His love was something for the books. He was so skilled and gave it to her in all the right ways. When she felt his body stiffen and the head of his dick jerk, she tightened her legs around him and rode her climax as he did his.

Demoto fell on top of her, trying to catch his breath. She rubbed his back and pushed his dreads to one side so that they weren’t in his face. It was funny how he’d just climaxed without thinking twice about pulling out. That was the reason they were on baby number two. When he’d taken enough time get himself together, he pushed himself off of her. Kissing her lips before completely moving.

“Get your ass up and come on.” He looked at her and smiled.

Taryn was still lying on the bed. “Nah, don’t come home messing with me, get my body all tired and wore out then try to rush me. Oh no, sir, you will not.”

Demoto laughed and reached down to pull her from the bed. When she was upright on her feet, she walked past him and went to the bathroom. After flipping the shower on, Taryn grabbed her shower cap, put it on her head, and got in. She was still bathing when she felt the door open. Demoto stepped in behind her. He too cleaned his body again. Once they were finished and dressed they left the house.

The mall wasn’t too far from where they lived, so they hopped onto the highway and headed there. They’d chosen to drive Taryn’s white Range Rover. Taryn liked Demoto’s Audi and everything, but she loved her truck. It had been a present for her birthday a few months ago. What Taryn was really hoping for was a proposal, but that wasn’t what she’d gotten. It had taken her a few days to get out of her feelings about the unwanted gift, but eventually she’d gotten her life and now she loved it.

It seemed like ever since Kia and Jacko had gotten married, marriage had been the only thing on her mind. She and Demoto had been together longer than them, and now they had Ayo. Taryn really just didn’t see the holdup, but she wouldn’t press it. “Déjà vu” by Peewee Longway blasted through the speakers of her truck as they turned into the parking lot of the mall.

“You straight over there, baby girl?” Demoto’s hand went to her thigh.

  “Yeah, just thinking.”
/>   “Oh shit. About what?”

Taryn laughed and shook her head. “Don’t do that.”

“I’m just saying, I know it’s probably some serious shit because your face all frowned up and stuff.”

“It is, but not really. I was just thinking about my parents. I really want to find out where they’re buried at.” Taryn lied.

Demoto looked at her. He couldn’t look long since he was driving, but she could tell from the concerned look in his eyes that he was about to start worrying about her.

  “You’ve never known?”

  Taryn shook her head.

“Not saying anything is wrong with it, but what made you think about that all of a sudden?”

Taryn looked out of the window. “I don’t know for real. I guess I just wish they could meet you and Ayo. I think about them a lot from time to time.”

“Well you know I could find out for you.”

Taryn looked at him with wide eyes. “You can? How?”

  “Double O.”

That really got Taryn to thinking. She didn’t know why she hadn’t thought of that before, but it did make a lot of sense. Double O had connections to everything. She wondered how long it would take. Thoughts of her parents and everything about them began to overload her mind. It was like she was entering into a brand new realm. There was no telling what Demoto could probably find out for her.

“Just make sure that’s what you want. I’m almost positive when looking for their graves I am probably going to find out a lot of other stuff too.”

Taryn knew he was telling the truth because that was one of the things she’d just thought about too. Was she really ready to find out things from her past? She bit the inside of her cheek as she pondered it all. An unsettled feeling invaded her stomach, but she could handle it. She had to. The only thing that really pushed her to agree to it was the fact that she had Demoto. Anytime she was faced with something that she couldn’t handle, she was positive that he could. He had proved this too many times already.
