She Took My Heart and Went Crazy 4 Page 5
“That was good stuff right there, handsome.” Her head leaned around his arm so that she could look at him in the mirror in front of them.
In a pair of red gym shorts and black Jordan’s, Yeshi sat in front of her breathing hard. He smiled at her lazily and reached for the towel he’d been using to wipe away his sweat. Once his face was dry, he looked back through the mirror at Logan.
Her hair was pulled back into a bun, and she was smiling at him brightly while rubbing his stomach. The purple rubber ring she’d insisted on him buying was stacked with three other designer Qalo rings. One teal, one pink and gray, and a white one that made up a rather odd-looking wedding band, but that’s what she’d asked for.
“You really need to let me get you a better ring.”
Logan’s smile brightened as she held her hand up in his face. “Nope!” She bit his back making him jump slightly. “I like the one I have.”
“I don’t see why.” Yeshi frowned as he eyed the rubber rings she’d damn near thrown a fit over.
“I exercise a lot. This is easier to manage. Plus, I like simple things. This is good enough for me. Maybe when we get married for real, I’ll get a good one.”
Yeshi looked off for a minute. “We’ll see about that.”
Logan sighed. “Why do you always sound so low whenever I bring up marriage?”
Yeshi huffed. “Because I don’t know why you have to keep bringing it up.”
“Because you asked me twice, want me to wear these rings like I belong to you, but you keep running away from making it legal.”
“I’m not running,”
“Well, what are we waiting for?”
Yeshi sighed and looked around the gym at nothing in particular, just needing a break from Logan’s questions. A couple of months had passed since he’d asked Logan to marry him, and she hadn’t let him forget it. True enough, he’d meant it the night he asked her, but he hadn’t meant right then. Well… after he got out of the pussy, he hadn’t mean right then. The entire time he was in her body, marrying her felt and sounded like the right thing, but once he was back in his right mind, he was no longer sure.
He liked Logan a lot, more than any other woman he’d been with, but he wasn’t ready for marriage. The only reason he’d even mentioned it was that he was in a vulnerable moment and it fit the circumstance. Now, he wished he’d just rode that wave and kept his mouth shut.
“Hey.” Logan bit his back again.
Yeshi lifted his eyes from her ring when he felt her tapping his abs. His eyes found hers in the mirror.
“Let’s worry about the more important stuff right now. Like, how sexy you are, or how long you’ve been sober, or how well you’re going to do on your interview today.”
Yeshi’s heart rate sped up at the mention of his interview. He’d been in Georgia with Logan for months now, and it was time for him to get on his feet. He’d been living off her for long enough. Yeshi was a man and didn’t feel whole without a job. He’d been paying all her bills out of his savings account, but that still wasn’t enough for him.
Killian had been trying desperately to get him to do the accounting for his gym since he’d been there, but that wasn’t enough for Yeshi. He loved Killian like a brother, and he’d done so much for him that there was no way he’d charge him to do that.
He’d done it just to keep his mind going, but he most definitely had no plans of taking any money from Kill for it. When the interview for the colleges came open, he’d been ecstatic. After submitting countless resumes and being turned down, he’d almost gotten discouraged. Luckily, God had a better plan. Let Logan tell it. Doing the numbers for all the colleges in Atlanta would be a blessing for real, so he’d had to inadvertently agree with her.
“So, what are we going to do to celebrate?” Logan questioned, bringing him out of his thoughts.
“Whatever you want to do. This is for you, not me.”
Logan’s face scrunched up. “Stop downplaying your hard work. You’re doing good and getting better. This is for both of us. I’m going to do whatever you want to do.”
“What if I want to go to a club and drink a little?”
Yeshi watched her twist her mouth to the side as she thought. He knew she didn’t drink or club, but he loved to party, and it had been too long since he’d gone out and done it. If he did, in fact, get that job, that was exactly what he wanted.
“No drinks.”
“I was just fucking with you on that part, but what about the nightlife? You down to hit a few spots with me?”
“I’ll think about it.”
Yeshi smiled because that was better than a straight no. “Bet. Come on, you have to do your set.”
He stood from his spot on the bench and pulled her along with him. When she was on her feet, he grabbed two handfuls of her butt and pulled her to him. Once she was tucked securely against his body, he kissed her mouth, and she let him. When she pulled away and went to flip the bar around so that she could do squats, his eyes were glued to her. Ass everywhere. Though he should have gotten used to it already, he still hadn’t. Anything her mind and spirit didn’t do for him, her body did.
“Babe, I’m ready.” She beckoned him to her.
Yeshi took his place behind her as her spot, making sure to stand as close to her butt as he could without getting in the way.
“You need to go lower than that,” Yeshi instructed as she lowered into her first squat.
He watched Logan’s body movement, careful not to miss his dick being picked up by her butt when she raised back to her feet. The moment she felt it, she smiled at him through the mirror.
“You’re disgusting.”
“Fucking right.” Yeshi flicked his tongue at her.
“Don’t be scared, Logan. Put that ass on your man, girl.” East’s voice came out of nowhere, bringing smiles to both of their faces.
Yeshi enjoyed the way Logan blushed in embarrassment as if he didn’t do the same type of stuff to her all the time.
“If I had an ass like that, I’d be drowning Killian in it.” She joked some more before walking away.
“She’s so crazy.” Logan laughed.
“She is, but don’t get distracted. Touch my dick.” Yeshi winked at her, and she giggled.
It had been a while since he’d felt like himself, but slowly he was starting to recuperate and find the old Yeshi again. Logan was the cause for most of it, but the rest of it had been all him. The determination he had to quit drinking had doubled after Katana’s death. Losing her had really woken him up, and he’d been doing any and everything to stay sober since then, including joining an AA group that Killian had found.
“Good shit, shorty.” Yeshi slapped Logan’s butt once she finished her set.
She nodded and walked around him with her hands resting on her hips. Her thick, toned legs ended in a pair of gold Nikes, making Yeshi’s mouth water. If it was one thing he loved, it was a woman in sneakers. He watched her a little longer before checking the time on his watch. It was time for him to go. He needed to get ready for his interview.
“Aye, shorty, it’s time to head home. I have to get ready.”
Logan walked to him and looped her arm through his. “Okay, call me as soon as you leave.” She stood to her tiptoes to peck his lips, but his hand on the back of her head held her to him for some passionate tongue play. “In Jesus name, I know you’re going to get it.”
Yeshi looked over her face and winked. “Already got it.”
Like he knew she would, Logan blushed. Yeshi loved her up for a few more minutes before walking off toward the door. He waved his goodbyes to a few people while heading toward Logan’s car. That was another thing that he needed to hurry up and handle. He hated driving around in her little ass whip. It was too small and too fucking lame. He was used to big boy shit. There was no way possible he’d ever get used to that little ass Camry. It was cute for her, but it was killing his whole swag.
With the music blasting, Yeshi made it to Logan
s loft in no time and headed to the shower to get cleaned up. The all-black suit he’d grabbed from Joseph A. Banks a couple of days before was laid out on the bed with the red tie and black shoes next to it. Though it was an extremely simple act, Yeshi was past excited to get dressed up again. Being in his suit made him feel like himself.
Nearly thirty minutes passed before Yeshi was completely ready to go. He looked impeccable and smelled better. He was on his way out of the door, but needed a better view of his entire appearance, so to Logan’s room he went. She had one of those big mirrors in the corner of her room, and it was just what he needed.
Yeshi admired himself from an array of different angles before he was satisfied. His next stop was the mirror so he could brush his hair. He’d left his there the day before, and it was still in the same spot. He’d just tossed the brush onto her dresser when his eye caught sight of her panty drawer. It was halfway opened with a pair of brand new yellow seamless panties hanging over the side.
“Oh, hell yeah.” Yeshi smiled to himself while raising the panties up to marvel them. “She knows what the fuck I like.”
The small pile of new panties sat on top of all her other ones. She’d obviously tossed them in there after leaving the mall because they were all still grouped together with the tags hanging from them. Totally invading her privacy, Yeshi took his time looking at all her new undergarments. After getting his fix, and realizing it was time for him to head to the interview, he tossed them back into the drawer and pushed them down. His finger grazing the tip of some paper caught his attention.
When Yeshi looked down, he noticed half of an envelope sticking out. Instead of going on about his way, he pulled it completely out and noticed it was a letter from some nigga named Auto Morris in a Miami prison. The fuck kind of name was that? And why in the hell was a nigga writing her from prison? Yeshi didn’t waste his time trying to figure it out. Instead, he snatched the letter out and read it.
Logan, good day beautiful,
I hope my letter finds you in good spirits, I just wanted to write you back and let you know that I miss you so fucking much. This shit is crazy because I should be over you by now. It’s been a long couple of months without hearing from you, so when I received your letter last week, I was happy as fuck. It sounds like you’ve been straight, keeping things together, and that’s good. A lot better than what I can say for myself. They’re supposed to be shipping me to a new camp soon, and I heard it’s supposed to be worse than where I am now. You know that ain’t shit for me, though. I’m built for this life. I talked to your brother the other day, he told me you’re doing well for yourself in Atlanta. I wish I could have heard that from you. How’s your love life? Do you miss me? I hope you’re not down there feeling bad about me either because I know that’s what you always do. I’m straight. This shit I did was for us, don’t sweat it. You keep my secrets, I’ll keep yours. You always were a good woman, and I’ll die knowing that. I know the things I’ve done to you are unforgivable, but I hope you find it in your heart to love me again one day. Anyway, I just wanted to check up on you. Put some more money on your phone, so I can call you. Talk to you soon. Forever your always.

Yeshi stood in the same spot looking at the somewhat crumbled sheet of paper as if it was going to disappear. What in the fuck did Logan have going on? His eyebrows were scrunched up as he stood in bewilderment, but he didn’t have time to waste. So, instead of reading over it again like he wanted to, he stuck it back in the envelope and returned it to where it had been.
With only a few minutes left to spare, he rushed from the house and to Logan’s car. He’d just parked outside of the building when he pulled the small bottle of liquor from his pocket. Without hesitation, he twisted the cap open and swallowed the whole bottle.
“Ahhh.” He grunted as his face frowned. “Let’s get it.” Yeshi gave himself a pep talk as the poison warmed his insides.
With one last look at the bottle, he tucked it back into his pocket and hopped out to head inside. Thankful for the grace of time he’d been given, Yeshi made it and smashed the interview. He’d actually done a lot better than he’d anticipated. The interviewer loved him and offered him the job on the spot. Yeshi was beyond thankful. So thankful that he totally forgot about the letter and drove straight to the gym. To celebrate his victory, he finished another personal bottle of brown liquor.
As bad as Yeshi wanted to quit drinking, it was too hard, and he just wasn’t up for the fight. After Katana and the whole sick stunt at Killian’s job, he’d been trying his hardest to quit, but every so often to maintain his cool he’d need another sip. Not many people would understand, but for so many years, liquor had been a part of him, and it still was. It was occasionally what made him more himself. Whenever he was sober, he was too vulnerable. His alcohol always gave him the extra boost he needed. So, for as long as he could hide it, he was going to drink it, especially if it kept him from embarrassing himself, Logan, and Killian.
As soon as he walked through the doors, he found Logan. She was standing at the desk looking at some receipts with Killian. That was perfect. He could tell them both at the same time.
“Yooo,” he said as he walked up with a large smile on his face.
Logan looked up with raised eyebrows. “You got it, didn’t you?”
Yeshi’s grin grew bigger as he nodded. Logan was around the desk and jumping on him instantly. Yeshi laughed as he caught her by her butt and held her up in his arms. Her thighs and arms squeezed him tightly as she kissed all over his face.
“Yes, baby! I knew you would get it!” she squealed in excitement. “I told you God would work it all out for you!”
“My nigga.” Killian walked up with his hand out.
Yeshi dapped him up before putting his hand back on Logan’s butt.
Since she was still in his arms, he had to lean around her to see Killian. “I was nervous as hell when those people started asking me about drinking and shit.”
“What? How did they know about that?” Logan questioned.
“They called my boss back in Nevada.” Yeshi shrugged. “That was the only tough part, though. I had the rest of that shit in the bag.”
Logan was back kissing and smiling all over his face.
“Girl, get your ass down and let me talk to my nigga.” Killian laughed while pulling Logan’s arm.
She snickered against Yeshi’s neck while allowing Killian to pull her down, but she didn’t go far. Both of her arms circled one of Yeshi’s as she leaned her head on his arm. It made Yeshi feel good to see her that happy for him. Even if she hadn’t already told him, her happiness was all over her.
“Look at you, babe. You look so handsome and paid.” Logan rubbed her hand over his chest. “This suit looks like it was made for you.” She licked her lips before looking into his eyes. “I like it. You look like the man, boo.”
Yeshi felt so good as he listened to her openly appreciate the sight of him in his suit. He literally had to stop himself from blushing.
“Get your ass on.” He playfully pushed her away, but she came right back.
“For real, you look so perfect in this.” She pulled at his jacket. “This is how you looked in Nevada?”
Yeshi nodded, recalling his conversation with her that day in her car while leaving the mall. His suits, his money, and the simple business he had about himself brought about the level of confidence he was experiencing right then. On top of all of that, the women he entertained always boosted his ego even more. Much like what Logan was doing right then.
“Well, I’m glad I got to see you.”
Yeshi winked and blew her an air kiss. “Me too, baby.”
“Aye, enough of this shit. I know we’re celebrating tonight?” Killian asked with his arms stretched on both sides of his body, totally interrupting their conversation.
Yeshi nodded adamantly. “Hell yeah! You know I’m with it!”
“Bet. I heard that new spot downtown be popping on Thur
sdays. Perfect for the win tonight,” Killian told Yeshi.
“Give me a time, and me and my baby sliding.”
Yeshi looked down at Logan to see why she was so quiet. She was looking between the two of them but wasn’t saying anything. Her face still held its normal, happy glow, but she hadn’t chimed in on the celebration conversation yet. In the back of his mind, Yeshi knew it was probably a long shot, but he was hoping she would go. He wanted to have fun and party, but he wanted to do it with her too. Logan brought a different kind of light to his life, and without her, his turn up probably wouldn’t be the same.
“Whattt? You got li’l Logan hanging out with the crew tonight?” Killian egged it on.
“I don’t know about all of that, y’all.” She shook her head. “Y’all know the club is not my scene.”
“Come on, baby, it’ll be alright. I want you with me.” Yeshi held her gaze until she looked away.
“I guess I’ll go.”
Yeshi and Killian both laughed and went wild, making her laugh at their antics.
“I have to find something to wear. You know I don’t do the club.” Logan looked around the room. “Where’s East? I need her to go to the mall with me.”
“Why I can’t go with you?” Yeshi asked indignantly.
“Because I need her to pick it out. That’s why.” Logan tooted her lips up to kiss him, and he obliged.
Killian looked around the gym for East before turning back to Logan. “Hit her cell. You know she stays ready to spend my money.”
“You make her spend it, so don’t try to flex on my girl.” Logan teased him.
Yeshi watched Killian smile and blush about East, and it made him that much happier that Logan had agreed to tag along with him. He’d been wanting something like they shared since seeing them in Vegas together and every day since. They were magnetic, and their energy rubbed off on those around them, and him especially.
“You right, but she does it so good, I can’t help myself.” Killian shrugged. “It’s what I work for.”
Just as they were about to engage in a conversation about East spending Killian’s money, she came walking toward them. As soon as she stopped, she sloppily kissed the side of Killian’s face before licking the spot she’d just kissed. Logan and Yeshi watched happily.
